As Seen on Craigslist – 1980 Bradley GT

As I’ve mentioned recently, there was once a booming cottage industry for modified and kit-cars based on the VW Beetle.  The Bradley GT was one of the foremost of those kit-cars in its day, and this root beer brown model looks like a lot of fun for the money.  It probably rattles like crazy, leaks like a sieve, and has a hard time getting out of its own way, but it’s got t-tops, a jaunty racing stripe, and looks like a cross between a C3 Corvette and the Coyote X from Hardcastle and McCormick, which I loved as a kid and may have been one of the reasons I grew up to be a car guy:

Anyway, the exhaust note on these Bradleys is pretty annoying, and it’s obviously not the sort of thing you would drive every day, but it’s not a bad way to spend your savings account.
